Ksenia Parkhatskaya is hailed as the 21st century’s ‘female Fred Astaire.’ Echoing the golden era of Hollywood, she is a multi-faceted artist: singer, dancer, actress and a songwriter. She stands out in the jazz world not just for her velvety, somber vocals that draw comparisons to the likes of Melody Gardot and Katie Melua, but for her unparalleled prowess as a solo jazz dancer.

This artistry gets further amplified through her beautiful songwriting and storytelling, where she dives into the realms of the cinematic with her husband, film score composer and bassist David Duffy.

In 2023 Ksenia has partnered with Terashima Records in Japan, with the release of her debut album “Colours” on Vinyl, which will see her expand into the Asian territory this year. Much of this interest and success is driven by the critical acclaim, and audience response to her single “How Long” receiving over 1.5 million streams on Spotify alone, selected by Spotify editors to share playlists with names such as Dianna Krall and Norah Jones.

Ensemble Overview

Ksenia’s primary ensemble features acclaimed musicians from Catalunya and Ireland: Gabriel Amargant, Marc Martin, David Duffy, Jordi Pallares, and Joan Mar Suquet, but she has recorded and performed with many of the leading musicians in Barcelona, namely Anton Jarl, Lluc Casares, Joan Casares, Carlos Sarduy Dimet, Gilles Estopey, Marcal Perramon, Victor Carascossa and Barcelona Jazz Orchestra.

The Show

When Ksenia takes to the stage, you can expect far more than a concert.

Ksenia likes to combine her years of theatrical training, with dance and song, to create something that is truly special for the audience. The show takes them on a journey through beautiful original contemporary jazz, to swing, and storytelling.

“With this show I want the audience to laugh, to cry, to be moved and to move. Far more than a concert, I wish to present something that uses everything I have learned about performance into one space”
